Home Learning

Thank you all for your support with home learning in this strange and difficult times. All of the staff at Longhill Primary School deeply miss the children and we hope that you are all coping well with being at home.

Each week, your child’s class teacher will assign work using the following websites and apps. There will be a range of work including maths, reading, writing and foundation subjects.

Remember, as much as it is important to make sure your child is learning at home, it is also important to look after their mental well-being and ensure that they are feeling happy and safe in these strange and confusing times.

Dedicate some time each day to exercise and mindfulness to ensure that everyone in the household is feeling positive!

If you are not receiving any emails from your child’s class teacher regarding website log in details for the following sites, please contact the school to update your email address or let your child’s class teacher know during your weekly phone call.

• Seesaw
www.seesaw.com
OR download the app to an iOS or Android device.

You should have received a log in to access the online journal Seesaw.

This will allow your child to access various activities set by their teacher which can then be marked by their teacher.

Your child’s class teacher will regularly set new activities to be completed using the Seesaw app so keep checking back for more work.

Using Seesaw, you (or your child) can also upload pictures and videos of additional activities that you have been doing and this will allow the class teacher to view and respond.

Some children have uploaded photos of baking and gardening and these have been delightful to see!

• Charanga

This is an online music service that allows children to work through a music scheme online. You should have received log in details from your child’s class teacher.

• Rising Stars

• Big Maths
https://app.bigmaths.com/login

Your child will receive their log in details over the next week and be able to access a range of CLIC, SAFE and Learn It tests each week.
